Does size matter for a good night's sleep?
Absolutely. A bed that is too small can lead to disturbed sleep, especially if your feet hang off the end or you feel cramped. The general rule of thumb used by sleep experts is:
Ideal Mattress Length = Your Height + 20 cm (Approx. 8 inches)
Width Requirements
- Single Sleepers: A minimum width of 90cm (Twin/Single) is usually sufficient, though 120-135cm (Full/Double) offers more luxury.
- Couples: A Double bed (135cm wide) gives each person only 67.5cm of space—less than a baby in a cot! A Queen (152cm) or King (193cm) is highly recommended for couples to avoid disturbing each other.
